Am 2. Mai fiel am Taunus Campus der Startschuss, Ende Mai folgt auch unsere Grundschule in City. Wir haben das Projekt „Besser zur Schule“ bei Phorms Frankfurt gestartet. Finanziell unterstützt durch das Land Hessen werden wir gemeinsam mit einem externen Ingenieurbüro zwei separate Schulmobilitätspläne für unsere Standorte erstellen. Die Projektlaufzeit wird voraussichtlich 1 Jahr betragen. Unter Beteiligung unserer Schüler und Eltern sowie externen Partnern (z.B. Kinderbüro, Polizei, Gemeindevertretern und Verkehrsunternehmen) beleuchten wir unsere Mobilitätsstrukturen und entwickeln Pläne zur Weiterentwicklung.
Während uns am Taunus Campus der Ausbau der Waldstraße sowie die ÖPNV-Anbindung besonders am Herzen liegt, beschäftigt uns in Frankfurt die besondere Lage im Wohngebiet Nordend mit der damit verbundenen Verkehrssituation besonders. Im Fokus der Projektbetrachtungen stehen grundsätzlich unsere Schüler und wie sie besser und vor allem sicherer zur Schule kommen.
Im nächsten Schritt wird es Schüler- und Elternbefragungen geben, die das aktuelle Mobilitätsverhalten analysieren sollen. Bereits nach den Sommerferien werden wir voraussichtlich mit Vor-Ort-Besichtigungen der meistgenutzten Schulwege unter Beteiligung der Schüler fortfahren. Wir freuen uns auf konkrete Ansätze zur Verbesserung der Schulmobilität.

Mobility project "A Better Way to School" has started
We have begun the project "A Better Way to School" at Phorms Frankfurt. On May 2nd the green light was given on the Taunus campus, and at the end of May, our Primary school in the city will also join in. Financially supported by the state of Hesse, we will work with an external engineering office to create two separate school mobility plans for our sites. The project duration is expected to be 1 year. With the participation of our students and parents as well as external partners (such as the Kinderbüro, Police, community representatives and transport companies), we will explore our mobility structures and develop plans for the future.
While the expansion of the Waldstraße and the public transport connections are particularly close to our hearts at the Taunus Campus, the special situation in the residential area of Nordend in Frankfurt is a particular interest to us, with the associated traffic situation. The project will focus on our students and how they can travel to school efficiently and safely.
The next step will be student and parent surveys to analyze current mobility behavior. After the summer holidays, we expect to continue with on-site visits to the most used school routes with the participation of students. We look forward to developing stronger and safer school mobility strategies for our community.
