Workshops by Anne Röhner
Workshop 1: Teaching PE with limited resources.
In this workshop you will learn how to make the best out of a sport lesson if essential equipment is missing and how you can up-cycle everyday material to become the master of sport creativity with your students and still fulfill the curriculum.
Sporty teachers and teaching assistants are welcome (as are those who would like to become so!).
Workshop 2: Enriched PE lessons in Primary and Secondary School.
In this workshop we will actively examine the activities done in a usual school sport lesson including jumping, sprinting, throwing, sommersaulting and running. Building up strength in gymnastics and athletics is one of the main aspects. We will also get to grips with safety holds for gymnastics that can be done either by the teacher or students. By the end of the workshop you will feel confident to vary your lessons from the usual ball games (although they are fun, too!).
Sporty teachers and teaching assistants are welcome (as well as those who would like to become so!).
Workshop 3: Small games for classes 1-10
Climbing monkey competition, errupting volcanoes, as well as running hunters, will motivate smaller athletes and keep them active while having fun. To prepare the older students for strategy games we will have a closer look at different games, too.
