Romy Kranich-Stein

    Romy Kranich-Stein began her career at a national educational company in Hamburg where she worked for over 14 years, six of those in managerial positions (in HR as well as other departments). She has been working as a business coach and consultant since 2011. Her activities include lecturing and speaking on HR and communication topics, and in 2012, she was appointed coach in intercultural communication at the FU Berlin. Since 2015, she has been acting as the authorised process consultant for the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs’ project “unternehmenswert: Mensch / The value of a company: Its staff”.
    Romy Kranich-Stein trained in Marshall Rosenberg’s NVC (Non-Violent Communication) in 2012. In 2014, she studied systemic organisational consultancy with Fritz Simon in Heidelberg. In 2015, she went on to complete training in “Presencing Foundation Program – Collective Leadership for Profound Innovation and Change“ (MIT Boston, Theory U – Leading from the Future as it Emerges) with Otto Scharmer and she has just completed a 3-year training course in transactional analysis (humanist psychology in communication and behaviour) in Berlin.
    She trained as a paralegal from 1993 to 1996 in Anklam. Then she graduated as a BA of Social Economics from the University of Economics and Politics, Hamburg in 2008 and went on to do an MA in Human Resource Management (University of Hamburg) which she completed in 2010.

    Workshop 1: Why our internal drivers can make us sick in the long run

    Have you ever wondered why you can't say no, why you always avoid conflict or why it can be so hard to ask colleagues for help? Or why certain behaviours when dealing with other people are more stressful than others? The reasoning lies with our inner drivers, which we internalise as children and can be a prime source of stress – right up to the point of burn-out. But how do we deal with them, and how do we ensure that they don’t make us sick in the long run? The goal of this workshop is to answer these questions.

    Workshop 2: Theory U – leading from the future. A theory and application workshop

    Acting and managing in the here and now, in a future-oriented way – what does this mean? How do you, as a leader, apply modern thought and action for yourself or within your day-to-day professional life? Otto Scharmer, Senior Lecturer in economics at Boston’s Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), has set new standards in the areas of management and leadership in everyday life with Theory U. Theory U offers a very useful framework for organisational learning and is a model for designing management and development processes that incorporate every employee.

    Workshop 3: Self-reflection and self-awareness – how can I change myself?

    How do I go about observing and reflecting on what I am presently doing so that I can see my own actions and change them?

    Objective and benefits:
    This workshop helps you with self-reflection, self-awareness and recognising your own potential for strengthening of the self. Participants will have the opportunity to consider their own present actions from various perspectives through targeted reflective questions.

    Workshop 4: Confidently handling critical discussions

    It’s a situation we’re all familiar with – parent-teacher night or talking to colleagues about difficult and troublesome issues can often trigger unpleasant feelings, and we often postpone these discussions so long that the relationship between us and our discussion partners, whether parents or colleagues, deteriorates and becomes tense. This workshop will show you that there is another way.
